Mason Margut Trio

A native of Satellite Beach, Florida, Mason Margut started playing piano at the age of nine, though it was his participation in his high school jazz band and an exploration into the music’s landmark recordings that left jazz an unshakeable influence on his musical career. Now a student at Florida State University entering his junior year, Mason frequently performs as both sideman and leader for shows and recitals at local venues and jazz clubs with professors and peers, as well as for various FSU functions and other programs in the College of Music, including vocal, musical theatre, and orchestral performances and recitals. Mason currently studies with pianists Marcus Roberts and William Peterson, and has also studied with Benny Green and Billy Childs.
