| Event Title: Concert: "Boogie on Down" Event Story: A free concert by Swingtime. Let's get down and Boogie. Come and hear music that will get your feet stomping and your body moving to the point that you can't stand still.
Swingtime, an ensemble of the Melbourne Municipal Band, also presents dances featuring jazz and Big Band standards. Swingtime's dances have long been a favorite of local dancers and jazz lovers looking for a reasonably priced, toe-tapping evening. This 20-piece band is directed by Art Martin, a tenor and baritone saxophonist. Art has performed with the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, Dizzy Gillespie, and The Platters, to name just a few.
