The 9th annual Brevard Live Music Awards take place Monday, August 27th, 6-9 pm at the Henegar Center in Downtown Melbourne. The admission is $10 for an awards show hosted by Christopher Long with a showcase of some of Brevard's talented musicians: Sybil Gage, Jessica Ottway, Simone, Jeff Stanton. Our celebrity guest and performer is rock legend Les Dudek. Tickets are available at Marion Music, Florida Discount Music, and Guitar Haven, and on night of the show.
Brevard Live Magazine conducts a yearly most favorite musicians and bands contest. Fans and friends who support live entertainment in this county are challenged to vote online (thanks to webmaster Warren Dodd!) to determine the most favorites in nine categories. The results are announced in a glamorous and most entertaining award show that has everyone talking for weeks.
All proceeds benefit the Brevard Music Aid, Inc, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that helps musicians in need.
After the awards ceremonies everyone is invited to an After Party at Lou's Blues on A1A to party with the winners and to experience one of the fun-nest jam all year. You'll never know who goes up there, when you get so much talent in the house.
