MUSICAL BACKGROUND:

***SO MY DAD put me on the ACCORDION, at the age of 7, and I took 4 years of lessons, where I learned the fundamental Foundations of Music...I became pretty good at this Musical SQUEEZBOX, though around that same period of time, RICKY NELSON was starting to become very famous with his vocals & GUITAR, and I decided right then and there, that THIS, was the INSTRUMENT that I TRULY wanted to learn to play (Especially since I saw how RICKY'S singing & playing guitar, immediately ATTRACTED the LADIES!)...I never actually, wanted to play the Accordion, in the first place, though it HAS taught me to READ Music & HOW to TRANSPOSE singing KEYS, whenever I ARRANGE a new song to try to COVER...So THANKS Dad...At least you meant well!...

***I ACTUALLY FIRST started performing, way back in 1980, at Long Island's then very popular Amityville BEACHTREE CAFE, in their very quaint Upstairs TOP OF THE TREE LOUNGE, that housed a beautiful YAMAHA Baby Grand piano and I ended up gigging there for literally ELEVEN straight years, every Saturday Night!!!...I had an AMAZING RUN & a very diversified, LOYAL FOLLOWING, from all over Long Island and even parts of Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan & Upstate New York!...

***AFTER THIS VERY long stretch of BEACHTREE CAFE experiences, I was literally recruited by the then independent Owner of Long Island's ONLY, SHERATON HOTEL, in Smithtown, NY, to PLAY in their beautiful, gigantic Lobby, TREETOP LOUNGE, for their Guests from NOW, not only the NYC/LI area, but from ALL OVER our Country & the World! (The Sheraton was located right next to Hauppauge's Industrial Park, the 2nd largest in the Nation, so I now had a Following from many major, U.S. Cities!)...I also ended up entertaining there, on both Guitar & Piano, for a very long stretch of SIX years! ...

Thanks a lot for visiting my Page!

ALL the BEST!...VINNIE CIMINO
