Minimum Wake's polished sound soothes the soul with shades of eighties and nineties alternative floating along on a bed of bass and countermelody influenced by classic country. MINIMUM WAKE hails from the cypress swamps and ancient hammocks of East Florida, raised just off the tracks that take the FEC on its unending travels north and south, crafting original songs that that drift beneath moss-encrusted oaks, and interpreting old favorites and forgotten gems. Sounds that quiver with the rumble of rockets. Songs that drift with the strums of a well-worn guitar. Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Mike Runion, raised within 80's alternative, conjures the melodies from his acoustic and gives soothing voice to yarns of love, anger and rivers swollen. Bassist A. Earl Edwards, raised on classic country, renders phrases and counter melodies with touch of blues, rounding the ensemble with deep foundation. OUR ORIGINALS have been called 'complex , edgy and thought-provoking.'
